The tool is easy-to-use and is an enjoyable way to take control of the money. Individuals that budget monthly are better able to pay their bills on time, save money and reduce debt. They are better equipped to manage unexpected events, reach their goals, and achieve a better lifestyle. Ultimately, individuals that budget successfully will achieve banking success.
What is Successful Program Completion?
This is a six month program. Individuals completing the program are expected to have developed budgeting skills to help them to better plan and manage their finances. The MBS Program is an excellent way for individuals to gain the budgeting skills needed for banking success. The MBS Program measures the individuals’ budgeting skills each month during the program. Individuals who complete the MBS Program should have, at least, three months of successful budgeting. The MBS Program uses the Budget Your Dream Online Financial Program to help individuals develop and measure their budgeting success. This program may be one of the best programs for individuals needing to gain control of their finances and to live a better financial lifestyle.
How Does A Mentor Help?
This MBS Program uses a Mentor to help refine budgeting skills and offer suggestions or methods that may continue to facilitate a good, successful budgeting result. Because the Mentor is a bank employee, individuals have access to a knowledgeable source of information on financial related matters, as well as, confidence in the expectation of privacy associated with financial information. The MBS Program does not commit the banks or its employees to any obligations that participants in the MBS Program be granted or receive additional banking services and benefits as a result of participating in the MBS Program.
Who is an MBS Program Mentor?
An MBS Mentor is a bank employee who is volunteering on behalf of the bank. The person has a level of expertise sufficient for bank employment and has passed all requisite background and security investigations for that employment. The mentor has a desire to help individuals develop better budgeting and money management skills. The mentor is not in place to sell bank services but is someone who may provide information related to the banking skills necessary to exercise good financial management and banking success.
Will Everyone Receive a Mentor?
Budget Your Dream (BYD), Inc. makes every attempt to provide a Mentor to each individual enrolled in the MBS Program. Efforts are given to team mentors with individuals by zip code. In the event a Mentor is not available in a particular zip code, BYD may be able to provide limited mentoring hours for the unmatched pool of individuals, if requested. Otherwise, the individual may use the online curriculum to learn and use the online tool to earn “budgeting success” on his or her own.
What does the Bank receive for participating in the MBS Program?
Volunteerism is a component of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) of 1977. The bank receives acknowledgement via CRA credits for participating in the MBS Program from their governing organization. Banks are community minded institutions looking for ways to help individuals achieve their goals. There is no compensation or financial obligation to the bank or the individual for participating. Likewise, there are no limitations on neither the individual, nor expressed or implied guarantees of acceptance by the bank due to the Mentoring relationship.
